10 to 12 June: TECOSIM and pSeven at the NAFEMS DACH Conference in Bamberg

TECOSIM and pSeven will jointly take part in the NAFEMS DACH Conference in Bamberg from 10 to 12 June – with three technical presentations, a joint booth at the accompanying exhibition, and as a platinum sponsor. This event, which takes place every two years, offers a wealth of information on numerical simulation and acts as a platform for the presentation of new technologies, tools and best practices.

On 10 June at 3:15 pm, Laurent Chec, CEO of pSeven, and Mark Gevers, Director of Business Development at TECOSIM, will give a keynote lecture entitled “Democratize Advanced Engineering Methods at Scale using a Low Code Cloud-Native Collaborative Environment” at the Plenum (Hegelsaal).

On 11 June at 2:10 pm, Dr André Backes, Technical Manager at TECOSIM, will be presenting the topic “Automation of CAE processes” at the Automation session in Room E. This presentation shows how you can define work sequences with the pSeven software – from choosing model parameters to the automated analysis of multidisciplinary simulation results. Parameter variation gives rise to a meta-model, which enables efficient analysis of the overall system and helps to resolve optimisation tasks. This automated process accelerates not only routine tasks, but also idea generation in virtual product development.

In the same session, Nina Moëllo from pSeven discusses the topic of “Automated Construction of Compressor Performance Maps” at 3:00 pm. The presentation focuses on an innovative solution for building and democratizing the use of automated engineering workflows at scale in a context of compressor performance map construction. Such map construction is based on a set of CFD simulations through a complex but repetitive process, only supported by domain experts. Democratization becomes a must as there is a large proportion of non-experts who need to use the described methodology frequently. The lecture shows how compressor performance map construction can be scaled with a single author and multiple users, and efficiently managed through user interfaces and applications. The same process can be applied to inter-project design changes and allow an engineering cycle reduction up to 6 times.

Early this year, TECOSIM took on sales and first-level user support for the efficient software tools from pSeven in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The products from this French software developer promise shorter development times and improved product quality.

pSeven is a software developer that specialises in Process Integration and Design Optimisation (PIDO) tools and collaborative engineering environments. Its two main products are pSeven and pSeven Enterprise. pSeven is a desktop application that enables the integration and automation of CAD/CAE tools and other engineering tools. In addition, it offers features for design optimisation and the creation of predictive models based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. pSeven Enterprise, on the other hand, is a cloud-native low-code platform, which was developed for the automation of collaborative engineering processes in large organisations.
