16 and 17 April 2024: TECOSIM at the automotive CAE Grand Challenge

TECOSIM is a platinum sponsor for the automotive CAE Grand Challenge 2024 and is taking an active part with a lecture during the Artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data session. Its booth at Stand 2 in the accompanying trade exhibition will showcase its collaboration with French software developer pSeven. Early this year, TECOSIM took over distribution and first level user support for the two products pSeven and pSeven Enterprise in German-speaking countries.

pSeven is a desktop application that enables the integration and automation of CAD/CAE tools and other engineering solutions. It also features functions for design optimisation and predictive modelling, based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. In contrast, pSeven Enterprise is a cloud-native, low-code platform which has been developed to automate collaborative engineering processes in large organisations. “The collaboration with pSeven affords us the opportunity to offer our clients an additional service for numerical optimisation and automation and for AI in product development,” states a pleased Lars Laschat, who has been responsible for Business Development and Sales in the German-speaking region since 1 March.

On 17 April, Dr André Backes, Technical Manager at TECOSIM GmbH, will be giving a lecture during the session How simulation models can learn from real world test data from 2 p.m. His presentation examines how simulation models based on the digital twin concept can predict the behaviour of hardware while also learning from the hardware’s measurement data to improve predictions.

An annual event giving industry experts the opportunity to exchange ideas on calculation and simulation, the automotive CAE Grand Challenge will be celebrating its sixteenth edition this year. The event organiser carhs conducted a survey of numerous CAE experts in the automotive industry to select the conference topics, the current crucial issues in CAE, the Grand Challenges that the conference name refers to. Seven topic areas were identified in total, including material modelling for crash safety, especially for giga castings, occupant safety in autonomous vehicles, and durability and fatigue of battery packs.
