Expansion and expertise: TECOSIM welcomes Dermott Carr on board as Managing Director

Dermott Carr is the new Managing Director at TECOSIM in the US. The computer aided engineering (CAE) expert boasts many years’ experience in the automotive industry, having worked for Daewoo and the globally active automotive suppliers Magna International and Benteler. Most recently, he was Chief Engineer at Metalsa, a North American company specialising in chassis structures for US manufacturers. There, he was responsible for implementing the technical aspects of the electric system strategy, after being responsible for Product Validation. Dermott studied Mechanical Engineering at Middlesex University in the UK and the Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Ireland. 

“We’re pleased we’ve managed to recruit a true industry expert for our team in Dermott Carr,” affirms a pleased Udo Jankowski, President of TECOSIM Inc., USA. “His key task will be to enhance and expand our team and customer relationships in North America. We have ambitious goals in the US and are primarily concentrating on car manufacturers and their suppliers.” 

Dermott Carr’s recruitment coincides with the opening of a second US location in the Detroit, Michigan area. The office in the Californian city of Irvine will continue as it is with Mark Amner attending to clients on the US West Coast from there.
