TECOSIM helps finance Formula Student in Cluj-Napoca
TECOSIM Romania sponsors a Formula Student ART TU Cluj-Napoca team. The Formula Student club seeks to give students at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTC-N) opportunities to develop on a professional and personal level. Participants become familiar with all aspects typically involved in a large technical project in the automotive industry.
The main objective of the TECOSIM-sponsored project is to build the first ready-to-race formula car and take part in the electric-powered single-seater category in the international Formula SAE® Electric competition this year. The competition will take place in Croatia between 23 and 28 August 2022.
Founded by twenty passionate automotive engineers in 2019, the Formula Student ART TU Cluj-Napoca team attracts increasingly more students from different faculties at the university. Formula Student is an international student car building and racing competition. The objective is to build a single-seated prototype and compare it with those from other universities on the racetrack as part of the Formula Student event. Both technical solutions and manufacturing costs are taken into account. With an eye on the future – not only of racing, but also of the automotive industry as a whole and indeed of the world – the Cluj-Napoca team has a vision of building a high-performance Formula Student electric vehicle with low energy consumption.
